Vertical Flow

Servo control for vertical bag forming, filling and sealing machines can improve efficiency in a number of ways. The controllability makes the system more flexible and changes can be made to parameters such as sealing times, bag lengths and bag material at the touch of a button. The throughput of products can be significantly increased due to the high speed precision characteristics of servo motors that allow consistent, accurate performance even with load variation during the cycle.

The reliability of servo motors means that while in production, very little human interference is required. Precise, consistent product output can reduce the quality checking requirement and so reduce overall production costs.

Pick and Place

Servo solutions for pick and place applications can provide fast, accurate results while also being flexible and instantly configurable to accommodate variations in product and position. Intelligent systems will constantly monitor the flow of products and cause the speed of the process to react accordingly. This allows a continuous stream of products into the systems preventing the increased wear associated with stop-start motion.
                 
By allowing continuous flow of products into the pick and place system, a more consistent flow of products through a complete production line is possible. This reduces the amount of work-in-progress required and helps the just-in-time approach to stock reduction. Conventional pick and place system are often a major cause of bottle necks and upstream disruption on a production line.

Continuous filling

Due to the unique precision and controllability of servo controllers it is possible to fill product containers on an uninterrupted production line. By registering the exact position of the containers the filling nozzles can be inserted into the containers with accuracy and speed. This method of filling containers will clearly increase the throughput speed of the products. This allows a continuous flow of products out of the filling process helping to prevent bottlenecks at other stages of the line.

The flexibility of a servo control system will allows it to be used for a wide range on product sizes and shapes. An easy to use interface can be provided to allow simple parameters such as container height, spacing and volume to be entered to allow new products to be stored for instant product changeover.
